Paladon Systems selected to support major upgrade to Cadent’s Peter Green facility
Paladon Systems has been awarded an order for the supply of 4 self-contained electro-hydraulic linear valve positioning systems to support a major upgrade to Cadent’s Above Ground Installation (AGI) at Peter’s Green. The Peter’s Green AGI is responsible for gas conditioning and pressure reduction prior to the gas being sent through the UK’s domestic gas transmission network.
Paladon Systems’ Applications Engineer, Malcolm Norton, “What makes this project particularly interesting is the way in which the positioners are to be used. Typically valve positioners are used to move the actuator/mainline valve to a specific position based on an external command signal. In this application the positioners will automatically adjust the position of the actuators/mainline valves based on the downstream pressure in order to maintain a stable downstream pressure, irrespective of any upstream pressure fluctuations.”
The engineering for the control systems will be undertaken out of Paladon Systems UK facility, whilst the actuator engineering and assembly of the complete systems will be managed by Paladon Systems’ Italian headquarters.
