Paladon Systems to supply valve automation systems for the Obiafu-Obrikom-Oben gas pipeline project

Paladon Systems is delighted to announce that they have been awarded a contract for the supply of 37 pneumatic and direct-gas valve automation systems for Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation’s (NNPC) Obiafu-Obrikom-Oben (OB3) gas pipeline project.

To be designed and manufactured by Paladon Systems’ headquarters in Italy, the systems will be fitted to shutdown and blowdown ball valves to provide remote open/close valve control. The majority of the systems also fitted with either hand wheels or hydraulic hand pumps to provide local open/close control.

The 48” OB3 pipeline will run for 127 kilometres to connect the Obiafu-Obrikom gas plant in Rivers state to the Oben node in Edo state. Originally scheduled for completion in 2018, rain and flooding have delayed the completion of the project until later this year.
