Virtual Reality Training

Learn how to assemble a ball valve and actuator and then operate them in virtual reality

Developed for the HTC Vive platform, Paladon Systems is proud to announce that they have released their first virtual reality training material.

In this training experience, users can walk around in 3D space and pick up and examine the major components used in the construction of ball valves and scotch yoke actuators. The users can also assemble these components to create a working model of a ball valve and actuator assembly.

Marketing Manager, Matthew Shepherd, “I started creating training material for the valve automation industry back when the most common method for content creation and delivery was black and white transparencies and overhead projectors. Since virtual reality headsets became commercially available in April this year, we’ve been busy learning about how to use this cutting-edge technology to create effective and immersive training experiences. Below is a download link for our first entry into this revolutionary new medium and which is, as far as we are aware, also the first virtual training material ever created for the valve automation industry.
