Thermal Power Plant Project Shipped

Paladon Italia supports increased power generation in Egypt

Paladon Italia recently shipped pneumatic spring-return linear valve actuators to be used in the 650 MW gas/oil fired power unit for the Suez Thermal Power Plant. The valve actuators will be fitted to 8” Class 2500 and 4” Class 900 Cesare Bonetti gate valves and will provide remote valve control as well as local manual operation via handwheel overrides.

Paladon Italia Inside Sales Engineer Silvia Bettinardi, “It was the extremely short delivery requirements and our previous experience with valve automation systems for traditional power stations that helped us secure this order. We are proud to have been given this opportunity to work with Cesare Bonetti to help support the development of Egypt’s energy infrastructure.

The 650 MW steam cycle power plant will be constructed in the vicinity of Suez city which is located approximately 150km east of Cairo. Additional project work includes the upgrade of existing over-head transmission lines as well as laying two additional underground transmission lines.
