Paladon Systems to provide fire-proof actuators for Pemex Compresión Alta Litoral A (CA-Litoral-A) platform in the Gulf of Mexico
Paladon Systems Sales Engineering Marzia Randi, “Following our successful completion of the South Arne Phase III project in which both Dragados and Empsol where involved, we are pleased to see their confidence in Paladon Systems by awarding us this new contract. We will be supplying 9 fire-proof scotch-yoke spring-return pneumatic actuators for ESD and BDV 2” to 30” class 600 and 900 Erreesse ball valves. The actuators will be fitted with handwheel and hydraulic manual overrides and the control systems will include closed loop breathing systems to prevent environmental ingress during the actuators’ spring strokes.”
The main objective of the CA-Litoral-A 15,000 ton platform is to increase current oil and gas production, eliminate excess gas flaring and be able to manage with the new operating conditions of the Litoral processing centre. It is expected to take 2½ years for Dragados to complete the new platform including the offshore hook-up, commissioning and the offshore start-up phase.
