Paladon Systems to continue to support ADCO’s North East Bab 3 project
After successfully supplying choke valve positional control systems for an earlier phase of ADCO’s North East Bab 3 (NEB-3) project, Paladon Systems is pleased to announce that they have now been awarded the order to supply the control valve positioning systems for this prestigious project.
The order comprises of 142 ring-main positioning systems powered by a 185 to 200 Barg external hydraulic supply and which will provide a fail-closed failure mode on loss of either the hydraulic supply or 4-20mA HART command signal. Additionally, the order includes 12 self-contained electro-hydraulic positioning systems powered by a 24VDC external electrical supply and which will provide a fail-open failure mode on loss of the electrical supply or command signal.
Located less than 50km southwest of Abu Dhabi City, NEB-3 comprises of the Al Dabb’iya, Rumaitha and Shanayel oilfields and is one of the giant upstream projects located in Abu Dhabi to help the UAE meet its targeted quotas of oil production in 2018. NEB-3 is a key part of ADCO’s plans to ramp up their current production from 1.4mn bpd to 1.8mn bpd to help support Abu Dhabi’s goal of reaching a daily production of 3.5mn bpd in 2018.
