Electro-Hydraulic ESD Systems Project Win

Paladon Systems to protect Kurdistan Region (Autonomous Region of Iraq) crude oil pipeline

To be fitted to 4” Class 600 ball valves, Paladon Systems is delighted to announce that they have been awarded an order for the supply of self-contained electro-hydraulic valve automation systems.

The systems will provide rapid ESD mainline valve shutdown capability, along with partial valve stroking functionality via a local pushbutton station, to ensure system reliability without affecting the process. Fitted with independent valve open and close speed controls, the ESD and partial valve stroking systems will also use separate solenoid valves. High-flow solenoid valves will be used in the ESD circuit to allow for rapid mainline valve closure, and low-flow solenoid valves will be used in the partial valve stroke circuit to eliminate the possibility of process upset during partial valve stroke testing, as well as allowing for the collection of detailed mainline valve and actuator metrics for use in preventive maintenance programs.
