Ammonia Transportation Project Win

Paladon Systems to supply low temperature self-contained electro-hydraulic positioning systems to support the distribution of ammonia in Ukraine

To be fitted to 2” to 6” Class 600 to 1500 globe valves, the self-contained electro-hydraulic systems will provide positioning control of the valves with an accuracy of ±0.5%. The systems will incorporate spring-return linear actuators to provide a valve fail position on loss of the 4-20mA command signal or power supply and be fitted with manual overrides. To be manufactured from 316SS, the ATEX EExd certified systems are required to operate in severe operating conditions with a -45°C to +60°C temperature range.

Product Manager Mike Northwood, “The client required a manufacturer who had GOST (formally known as TR) and RTN certification and a solid track-record in supplying electro-hydraulic systems for applications in extremely cold operating environments. We’ve held GOST and RTN certification for several years and, as part of Paladon Systems qualification process to supply electro-hydraulic systems to Gazprom, they have also been Lloyds certified for an operating range of -65°C to +80°C. The certification coupled with our vast experience with positioning systems made Paladon Systems the primary choice to fulfil this significant order.”
