Paladon Systems

New Manager for Electro-Hydraulic Systems

Mike Northwood promoted from Product Manager to Business & Product Development Manager

Mike Northwood, “Since joining Paladon Systems in 2003 I have been heavily involved with the development of Paladon Systems’ electro-hydraulic technology, specifically with regards to valve positioning and self-contained electro-hydraulic systems.

In the last 12 years our electro-hydraulic technology has advanced by leaps and bounds and, with the release of the compact electro-hydraulic system late last year, I believe that Paladon Systems has clearly shown itself to be an industry leader and innovator in this exciting area of valve automation technology.

Although I will continue to be involved with the continued research and development of electro-hydraulic systems, with the significant increase in Paladon Systems resources dedicated to this technology during the last 12 years I will now be able to focus on introducing these systems to new customers and markets. Malaysia and India have always been strong markets for Paladon Systems’ standard pneumatic and hydraulic systems; however, with Petronas and CCOE recently approving our electro-hydraulic systems, with the right focus I foresee that the sales of Paladon Systems’ electro-hydraulic systems will surpass those of our standard systems within the next two to three years.

We’ll be exhibiting our latest electro-hydraulic systems throughout the year; starting in Italy at IVS in May, then in Malaysia at OGA in June and finally in Abu Dhabi at ADIPEC in November. These systems feature numerous communications, diagnostic and environmentally responsible advances and I welcome anyone who is interested in learning how these can benefit their operation to come and see the technology for themselves.
