Overview
This training course provides an introduction to PN-Series pneumatic scotch-yoke valve actuators.
Synopsis
During this training course employees will:
-
Understand the difference between double-acting and spring-return actuators
-
Get an overview of power modules, drive modules and spring modules and the main features of each module type
-
See how a scotch-yoke mechanism converts thrust into torque and how it is able to vary its torque output throughout an actuator’s stroke
-
Learn the three different types of actuator yokes and why they are required
-
Find out what information is required as a minimum to ensure optimum actuator selection
-
Understand the purpose of an actuator’s end stops and where they are located
-
See how actuators are typically mounted to valves
-
Review an actuator’s materials of construction
-
Understand how actuator model numbers are constructed
