Paladon Systems to supply self-contained electro-hydraulic systems for the Panipat-Rewari Product Pipeline Augmentation project
Paladon Systems is pleased to announce that they have been awarded their latest order with Severn Glocon India for the supply of linear positioning systems. Being fitted to 4” and 6” Class 600 pressure control valves, the explosion-proof systems will provide accurate valve positioning, high and low system pressure alarms and local manual override control.
Product Manager Mike Northwood, “One of the real benefits of self-contained electro-hydraulic systems is that they have the low installation costs typically associated with electric actuators, but provide the high torque or thrust outputs historically only available from purely pneumatic or hydraulic systems. Self-contained electro-hydraulic systems can also provide a failure position on loss of the supply pressure via either a hydraulic accumulator or a spring-return actuator, unlike electric actuators which fail last (stay put) on loss of their electrical supply.”
Operated by the Indian Oil Corporation (IOCL), the 155km long 12“ Panipat-Rewari petroleum product pipeline (PRPL) was originally commissioned in September 2004 for the transportation of petroleum products from Panipat Refinery to the agricultural and industrial demand areas of Haryana.
