Paladon Systems to support the development of Algeria’s largest oilfield
Paladon Systems is delighted to announce that they have been awarded an order for the supply of self-contained electro-hydraulic valve automation systems to support the development of Sonatrach’s Separation & Compression Centre (CSC) at the Hassi Messaoud oilfield in Algeria.
The contract consists of 6 self-contained electro-hydraulic valve automation systems fitted to 1” to 12” Class 300 globe valves. The EExd certified systems with EExia retransmission will provide precise valve positioning via a 4-20mA HART command signal and fail the valves to a safe position on loss of either the command signal or external electrical supply. The control systems will employ 316 stainless steel manifolds to provide a rugged and compact solution as well as sunshades to protect the systems from operating temperatures up to 55°C.
Sales Engineer Electro-Hydraulic, Chris O’Connor, “We’ve been working closely with our client for over a year working on various technical solutions for this project and are delighted that Sonatrach has chosen our industry-leading technology to support them with the development of the largest oilfield in Algeria.”
The CSC is scheduled to be completed in 2020 and have a production capacity of 66,000 barrels of oil per day.
